The Angler's AlmanacAbout the template

Catch log insights

Load the Catches export from your Notion template to see what has actually been putting fish in the boat: lures, colours, hours, moon phases, pressure trends and water temperatures.

🔒 Your spots and catches stay on your device. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded, and nothing is saved when you close the page.

How to export your catch log from Notion

  1. On a computer, open your Angler's Almanac in Notion and open the Catches database as a full page (hover its title and click Open as full page, or open it from the sidebar).
  2. Click ••• at the top right of the page, then Export.
  3. Set Export format to Markdown & CSV, then click Export.
  4. Notion downloads a .zip file. Unzip it (on Windows: right-click › Extract All; on a Mac: double-click it).
  5. Click Choose your Catches CSV above and pick the .csv file inside. If there are two, choose the one ending in _all.csv.

The page reads these properties, and ignores any others: Catch, Species, Caught at, Trip, Spot, Lure / bait, Lure type, Lure colour, Length (cm), Weight (kg), Depth (m), Kept or released, Hour, Moon phase, Pressure trend, Water temp (°C), Wind, Water clarity.
